Complete ERC-20 Token Compatibility

VEXA Wallet automatically supports all ERC-20 tokens on the Ethereum network. ERC-20 is the technical standard for fungible tokens created using the Ethereum blockchain, powering thousands of projects including stablecoins, DeFi protocols, and governance tokens.

Popular ERC-20 tokens supported: USDT (Tether), USDC (USD Coin), UNI (Uniswap), LINK (Chainlink), DAI (MakerDAO), AAVE, COMP (Compound), SNX (Synthetix), and thousands more.

Any token following the ERC-20 standard works with VEXA automatically. Simply add the contract address in the companion app, and your tokens are secured with the same military-grade protection as your ETH.

BNB Chain BEP-20 Token Support

BNB Chain (formerly Binance Smart Chain) uses the BEP-20 token standard, compatible with Ethereum's ERC-20 architecture. VEXA provides full support for BNB and all BEP-20 tokens, enabling secure storage for the thriving BNB Chain DeFi ecosystem.

Major BEP-20 tokens include: BUSD (Binance USD), CAKE (PancakeSwap), BAKE (BakerySwap), SAFEMOON, and hundreds of DeFi and gaming tokens built on BNB Chain.

The BNB Chain ecosystem offers lower transaction fees than Ethereum while maintaining compatibility with familiar tools and standards. VEXA secures your BEP-20 holdings with the same air-gapped architecture protecting all your assets.

Solana SPL Token Support

Solana Program Library (SPL) tokens represent the token standard on Solana's high-performance blockchain. VEXA Wallet supports native SOL and all SPL tokens, giving you secure access to Solana's rapidly growing DeFi and NFT ecosystems.

Notable SPL tokens: USDC (Circle), RAY (Raydium), SRM (Serum), ORCA (Orca DEX), STEP (Step Finance), and the vast majority of Solana NFT collections use SPL standards.

Solana's sub-second finality and extremely low transaction fees make it ideal for active DeFi participation and NFT trading. VEXA enables you to interact with Solana dApps securely through air-gapped transaction signing, never exposing your private keys.

Understanding Native Coins vs Tokens

Feature Native Coins Tokens
Definition Currency of the blockchain itself Assets built on top of existing blockchains
Examples BTC, ETH, SOL, ADA, BNB USDT, UNI, LINK (on Ethereum)
Transaction Fees Paid in the native coin Require native coin for gas fees
Blockchain Own independent blockchain Built on another blockchain (ERC-20, BEP-20, SPL)
Use Case Network security, transaction fees, staking DeFi protocols, stablecoins, governance, utility
VEXA Support All 5 major chains natively supported 1000+ tokens across ERC-20, BEP-20, SPL standards

Important: To send tokens (like USDT or UNI), you need the native coin of that blockchain (ETH for ERC-20, BNB for BEP-20, SOL for SPL) to pay transaction fees. VEXA Wallet displays both your native coins and tokens in the companion app for easy portfolio management.

Unified Multi-Chain Portfolio Management

Managing crypto assets across multiple blockchains used to require multiple wallets, seed phrases, and security setups. VEXA Wallet simplifies this with a single device securing your entire multi-chain portfolio.

Single Backup

One 24-word recovery phrase secures all your assets across Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Cardano, and BNB Chain. No need to manage multiple seed phrases or backup procedures.

Unified Interface

View your complete portfolio across all supported blockchains in the VEXA companion app. Check balances, initiate transfers, and manage NFTs from one dashboard.

Cross-Chain Security

All transactions on every supported blockchain use the same air-gapped signing process. Your private keys never leave the device, regardless of which chain you are using.

Adding Custom Tokens

While VEXA Wallet automatically recognizes thousands of popular tokens, you can manually add any ERC-20, BEP-20, or SPL token via its contract address. This ensures support for new projects, governance tokens, and niche DeFi protocols.

How to Add a Custom Token:

  1. Open the VEXA companion app on your mobile or desktop device
  2. Navigate to the appropriate blockchain (Ethereum, BNB Chain, or Solana)
  3. Select "Add Custom Token" from the menu
  4. Paste the token's contract address (verify from official source)
  5. Confirm token details - symbol, name, and decimals auto-populate
  6. Token appears in your portfolio - secured with VEXA's air-gapped protection

Security tip: Always verify contract addresses from official project sources. VEXA displays token metadata for confirmation, but cannot verify authenticity of unknown contracts.

User Control

Updates are never forced. You choose when to update via the companion app. Review change logs and community feedback before applying any firmware update.

Firmware Update Process

Connect VEXA to companion app → Check for updates → Review changelog → Confirm update → Device installs firmware → Automatic restart → All assets intact

Updates typically take 2-3 minutes. Your recovery phrase and private keys remain secure throughout the process-updates only modify the firmware layer, never key storage.

Multi-Chain Technical Architecture

Understanding how VEXA Wallet secures multiple blockchains from a single device reveals the technical sophistication behind its multi-chain support.

HD Wallet Derivation

VEXA uses hierarchical deterministic (HD) wallet technology following BIP-32, BIP-39, and BIP-44 standards. A single 24-word seed phrase mathematically generates unlimited private keys across all supported blockchains.

Each blockchain follows its own derivation path:

  • Bitcoin: m/84'/0'/0'/0/0 (Native SegWit)
  • Ethereum: m/44'/60'/0'/0/0
  • Solana: m/44'/501'/0'/0'
  • Cardano: m/1852'/1815'/0'/0/0
  • BNB Chain: m/44'/60'/0'/0/0

This standard approach ensures compatibility with other wallets while maintaining security isolation between chains.

Secure Element Protection

The Secure Element chip performs all cryptographic operations in hardware, isolated from the main processor. Each blockchain's signing algorithm runs within this protected environment:

  • Bitcoin: ECDSA signatures with secp256k1 curve
  • Ethereum: ECDSA + Keccak-256 hashing
  • Solana: Ed25519 signatures
  • Cardano: Ed25519-BIP32 extended keys
  • BNB Chain: Ethereum-compatible ECDSA

Private keys never leave the Secure Element, regardless of which blockchain you are transacting on. Each signature request is approved via physical device buttons.

Air-Gapped Signing

When you initiate a transaction on any supported blockchain, the companion app creates an unsigned transaction and sends it to VEXA via USB or Bluetooth. The device:

  1. Displays transaction details on screen (recipient, amount, fees)
  2. Waits for physical button confirmation
  3. Signs transaction inside Secure Element
  4. Returns only the signed transaction (not the private key)
  5. Companion app broadcasts to the blockchain network

This process is identical across Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Cardano, and BNB Chain-ensuring consistent security regardless of blockchain complexity.

Token Recognition

For ERC-20, BEP-20, and SPL tokens, VEXA doesn't need separate private keys-tokens use the same addresses as their parent blockchain. The companion app queries on-chain data to display token balances.

When signing a token transfer:

  • App creates transaction calling token contract
  • Device displays recipient and token amount
  • Transaction signed with blockchain's native key
  • Smart contract executes token transfer on-chain

This architecture enables support for thousands of tokens without firmware updates-any standard-compliant token automatically works.
